The Value of Heritage to the NSW Community:
Determining the value that New South Wales (NSW) residents place on historical and cultural heritage items in NSW
CaPPRe, in this research, is focusing on eight diverse heritage types, including residential buildings, places of worship, Aboriginal culture, and historical and memorial sites, the research aims to quantify the significance of specific items within the NSW heritage catalogue, and to assess the overall value of this collection. CaPPRe employed Discrete Choice Experiments (DCEs) through a community survey of 4,161 residents aged 18 and older.
In this session we will hear from CaPPRe’s Project Director (Thames Kularatne), and Director, Research & Innovation (Simon Fifer), assisted by a discussant (Mark Morrison, Associate Dean, Research in the Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences Charles Sturt University) to explore the innovative techniques employed.
AARES members and non-members are welcome to attend.
