About the presentation:
Over the next two decades many forces will shape Australia’s grains industry. Professor Kingwell will outline his assessment of the key market factors likely to most influence the Australian grains industry. He will highlight what this might mean for the NSW grains industry and its bulk and container trade in grain.
About the guest speaker:
Professor Ross Kingwell is an experienced agricultural economist and author of more than 100 journal articles and book chapters, more than 20 conference papers and policy reports.
In addition to leading the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC)’s economics and business analysis team, Prof Kingwell is a professor in the School of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of WA and a former Chief Economist at the WA Department of Agriculture and Food.
Professor Kingwell chairs the Australian Farm Institute’s (AFI) research advisory committee. He has been a co-editor of the Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics (AJARE) and is a former president and distinguished Fellow of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society (AARES).
