Dr Maitra is a lecturer in the School of Ecnomics at the University of Sydney. Her main research interests are development economics, health economics, and agricultural economics. She is particularly interested in measuring food insecurity, exploring its causes and consequences, nexus with poverty, nutrition, and indicators of wellbeing, and understanding the implications of these relationships for human capital development.
